What A Day!

Today was Rionn's karate test.  It was also the day that karate had their annual end of school/welcome warm weather picnic.  He did awesome.  So now he's officially a blue belt.  Which only means that he gets to graduate up to the next age division of classes.  Even though he hasn't turned 7 yet.  And once in the newer class, he has to go back down to a white belt.  But hey, he went as far as he could in the little ninjas.  And he's excited about it.

And then we went to the park for the karate studio's annual picnic.  It involved lots of baby oil, good food, games, and fun.  And Cole and I are happy since we left with one tired out kiddo.  So first we had promotions for the older classes.  And then we did the slip n slide that was covered in baby oil.  I did not partake in that event.

Then they proceeded to play dodge ball.  But with a yoga ball covered in baby oil.  Rionn couldn't even pick up the ball, so it's a good thing he's fast.

Then they had a typical egg toss and water balloon fight.  All in all, it was a great day.  And everyone started to leave when the wind really started to blow.  So next week starts a whole new adventure.  A new karate class where the  messing around isn't tolerated and is about twice as long.  But Rionn loves anything kung fu.  So I'm sure he'll do great.
