Back To Normal
Today is the start of getting back to our normal routine. ANYONE that has ever been around us knows that we thrive on routine. All of us. Anyways, today I woke up, started laundry and made lunches like normal. Then I made breakfast and woke up Cole, like normal. And then Rionn got up and ate breakfast, took a shower and got dressed, like normal. Cole went to work. And I took Rionn to school, and proceded to work. Like normal. I actually went to work on time. My normal time. Then I went and got Rionn from school and we came home, got the mail, and ate a snack. Proceded to karate and then home for dinner. And then we did some homework, and played a couple games. This is what we do. I know that I'll probably be working fridays for a while but being back to somewhat normal hours are great. And I can't wait to get all the way back to normal. And I'm certain that my guys will welcome it with open arms too.

AWOL
So I've gotten several texts, calls, and emails over the past week. Apparently we've gone AWOL. LOL! But we haven't really. We've just been really busy. One of the ladies at work is one vacation and one of the boss men had a hip replacement. So I've been working long and hard. Rionn went to grandma's house. And the weather has been horrible. Cold, windy, and wet. And well, Cole's been working just as much as he normally does. But this week is back to normal. Spring break is over, and I'm working less hours this week. Of course, the pay was nice. I made in one week what I normally make in a month. Which still isn't a lot but much needed. So we'll be back online and available. Especially after next week.

New Teaching Tool
Everyone knows that we as a family pretty much rely on technology. Every day. Cole finally got his new iPhone. So his blackberry was handed down to Rionn. And before the gasps start, it's non functional. Meaning the only thing that he can use on it is the camera and video recorder. Today he's taken about 100 pictures and several videos. In fact, one video was to know what my thought/view on blackberry phones was. It was a video interview. Now we just need to upload the pictures. And if they are any good. I'll post them for ya.

21 Days
So many people know that Rionn still wets the bed at night. We think he is just a deep sleeper. I mean, it's kinda scary how much he is still asleep when we wake him in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. So we gave him an incentive. Cole told him that if he stayed dry 21 nights in a row, he could have bunk beds. And it took over a year. But as of yesterday, he is getting his bunk beds. "They" say that when kids are ready to sleep through the night, they are ready. There's no pushing them. So we waited patiently. Now I just have to put the bunk beds together. They've been in the garage since we moved.

Report Card Time
So today Rionn came home from school today with his report card. He did amazing this year. We've gotten a lot of guff for sending him to a public school. Or a school so far away. Anyways, I am more and more happy about his school everyday. He is a tough little boy that's a bit hard to figure out. So today we were told he is at a level 10 reading level. At the end of the year, kindergartners should be at a 3. He also "mastered" all of his reading, math, and science standards. And he got an excellent(the equivalent to an 'A') in every subject. Why they can't go by the ABC system anymore is beyond me. And he did improve his self control and respect for teachers and adults. Now he just needs to make it into 1st grade without driving us batty. So today, I'm an extra proud mom. And we might go get ice cream after dinner. Depends on how he's feeling.

An Unhappy First
Rionn got to stay home from school for the first time in his short career. Only, it's because his fever currently stands at 103. Nice. He's really disappointed. So Cole and I tag teamed it today. I went to work from 7-11 and he left for work at 11:30. Tomorrow, it will probably be just Rionn and I. When I walked in the door today, Rionn looked up at me. I asked him how he felt and he said, "Dad said I'm sick. And that I can't go to school." He followed his statement with a forceful crossing of the arms. I'm sure in a few years or possible next year, he'll be telling me he's sick and can't go to school. Plus, he doesn't get sick like this often. In fact the last time he had a fever was when he was 2. So here's hoping that after this germ session is gone, it'll go another 4 years.

What Big Feet You Have
So a couple weeks ago, we noticed that Rionn's shoes were getting really thin on the soles. So when Cole got paid we took him and bought shoes. And he picked out some sketchers that have lights. Anyways, the size of shoes that wore out from pure running around and being a boy were a size 13. And we always wondered why it took him so long to get his shoes on. But now I know why. We ended up buying size 2. 2! There is some room to grow in them but not much. So I'm assuming that he's going to be tall. At least as tall as Uncle Cory. He has to grow into his feet sometime. So in middle school, I'll probably be looking up at him with my finger pointing at him and saying "If you do that one more time...." because he'll be that much taller than me. But that's ok. I have a feeling I'll have my own ninja body guard when he's older.

Upside Down Moves
So Rionn always practices his Kung Fu. Always. It's a great thing(and yes, it amazes me) that he, as a 6 year old, knows what he wants to do. If it's not time to do homework or eat, or his tv/video game time is up, he's doing karate. Anyways, after dinner and before bedtime Cole stretches. Rionn has gotten into the same routine. Except that he is always doing it right after dinner. Especially his upside down moves. Which, I just know one of these days, he's going to regurgitate dinner. I think it's cute to see him walk around in his muscle shirts and practice his wall stands. One of these days, I'm sure he'll upgrade to a full on hand stand. But for a 6 year old, he does a pretty good job. And I'm one proud mom.

It's Still Pouring....
They say when it rains, it pours. Well, it's still pouring here. The last few weeks have been hard on us. I had my car rear-ended. The thermomstat went out. The roof is leaking. My car was done yesterday and then something else went wrong with it. So now it's at Cole's mom's house so his brother can fix it. Hopefully it won't cost a lot. Anyways, Cole's mom's SUV fit better in our garage than most of the rentals. However, it's a lot taller and this morning, it disengaged the automatic door opener/closer. So Rionn and I were really rushed this morning. He ran to class before the gate was closed and I was late to work. Hopefully this weekend will go smoothly. I'm just glad the 3 of us will spend it together. It's seems like forever since we just had a weekend to lounge around.

He's Got A New Belt
Rionn tested for his green leader belt Saturday. He passed his test and is now the highest ranking little ninja. And he's very proud of it.
